Pour Me A Story: It's Mailbag Time

greetings friends and happy Tuesday!

I come to you with this midweek correspondence to offer you the exciting chance of a lifetime*. don’t go unsubscribing just yet, I’m not selling Tupperware or NFTs.

almost a decade ago, when I first moved out here and was writing blog posts three or four times a week (!), I dabbled with a mailbag-type format where friends and family could ask me questions they had about my experiences as an immigrant, including everything from “what’s your favorite foodstuff that we didn’t have back home” to “how do I get a green card?”

it was fun to consider my new living situation from other people’s perspectives, and it also saved me from coming up with a new topic a handful of times, which was definitely a welcome occurrence.

jump forward to 2023 and my pal Mike over at The Kicks You Wear is doing a great mailbag format once per month, which has inspired me to do the same. I mean, I interview someone else every week, so now I figure it’s your turn to ask questions of me. what a switch!

so if you have a burning, or at least a smoldering, question you’d like to know my answer to, now’s your chance! you can reply to this email or leave it in the comments and (assuming I get enough) I’ll compile them into a newsletter or two.
